Reports are that WH get an extra £1m each year for the next five years if Arsenal qualify for the Champions League as part of the Rice deal.

Whilst that’s already happened this year (so that’s another £1m in the bank), what about a scenario where Arsenal needed us to lose on the last day to ensure that they qualified for the CL?

The PL, or FA, or whoever has the clout, should stop these sort of contract clauses, which have the potential to encourage match fixing.

Yeah, but put it this way, that £1m pays Danny Ings wages for 8 weeks.

#worthit lol.

Mmpr, in the context of money values that would sure be a pittance especially when we’ll get smashed anyway, unless Merson or Harry did the deal😂😂⚒️⚒️⚒️

Arsenal, this afternoon, have offered us Nheketia, and Ramsdale, they want 30 m for the forward, , No thanks say WH, maybe at half that price, Ramsdale, is of interest, but cannot be NO 1, that's why he wants to leave Arsenal, It's not clear where we are with Fabianski, did he sign one year extension, ? Cannot get clearance on this, WH wouldn't be buyers at present anyway, would prefer a loan with option, , Newcastle may be better suited, Loppy got his own ideas

Zeno dabast not signed anything with Sporting and West Ham are very interested

11 May 2024 17:16:04
Joyful, imo Ramsdale is very suspect for me, he loves to wander outside his area with some alarming goals scored against him, no surprise Arteta prefers Raya! Still would prefer Fab as our number2 if he can still do it next season! Arsenal would want stupid money anyway for him which could be better utilised elsewhere?
Would have no qualms about Nketiah coming to us, think he’d be a good addition👍⚒⚒⚒⚒

Nketiah is a decent player, but En-Nesyri would be far better.

With WH need to fill upcoming squad, free transfers, will be targeted, no point to run over many already mentioned, but now two Leicester players are coming into view Ndidi and Ieanacho . Bournemouth happy to sell Solanke to WH, but asking 55m, club see him closer to 40 m but can double his current wages, this could have legs, Newly mentioned, Tammy Abraham, has a couple of pals at Palace, and they might step up in front of WH, . McKinley looks to go with Moyes, Nolan not certain to leave might be retained because of his background .Sanz, who was number 2 at wolves with Loppy, might be in the frame again, WHERE is Moyes .? There for an hour yesterday, missing today, if he doesn't want to be involved in final matches, that's ok, put him on gardening leave, no send off Saturday, for what's left of season things, can be managed without him

Zaha? Older player didn’t think we would go this way, no resale value, but he’s got quality no question, how cheap can we get him? His agent is in talks, big wages required, but Zaha wants to come back to London with so many going wages can be afforded, can we get rid of Ings good swap those two! Moyes turned up at 11;30 apparently,

Hmmmmm very very busy already lining players up which is refreshing to hear. En nesyri being targeted. Downes told he has a future with west ham nice to hear. Lots going on already

09 May 2024 13:29:51
Really pleased to hear Downes might be staying. He has talent which can be developed. Something which Moyes had no idea how to do. I think TS will be looking at young talent with a sprinkling of experience. Exciting times - at long last.
I have no opinion on whether Moyes should be given a send off. I couldn’t give a monkeys. As long as he’s gone.

Joyful, haven’t seen Zaha since leaving Palace but I would love to him at our place, frightens defenders when he has the ball, yeah temperamental but Managers should handle that, they would be mugs to accept Ings in part ex but great for us🤣
Can’t remember too much of Downes as given little opportunity but apparently playing decent albeit in the Championship and local WH fan!
My son in law who is a Forest Fan is going on Saturday and praying we can do him a real favour and turn over Luton but they’ll be fighting for their lives!

I see you’re still whinging Tinlegs! I think we all get it that Mr Moyes isn’t your favourite person! 😂 Thinking of starting a book for people to have a flutter on how long it takes for you to start bleating about the new manager:

3-1 - 1 month
10-1 3 months

Hey Dabber, welcome back. Not sure TIN is having a moan but expressing the same sentiment that quite a lot of our fans feel. And in all honesty, he should have walked away after the CONFERENCE FINAL as a hero but now he is going with a whimper. Such a shame

10 May 2024 07:16:30
Hopefully, the new manager is as successful as the one leaving. Spurs and now Villa have tried to win the Conference Cup without success. Villa obviously did not consider it a '3rd tier' trophy, using their strongest sides throughout.

Cheers Daisy, never really went away just stopped posting throughout the season. It’s transfer time though now so good to read Joyfuls posts, seems to be in the know about what is going on. In fairness to Tinlegs, he does moan/whinge a lot but as the season progressed I felt less and less compelled to disagree about Moyes. What happened in January was unforgivable. Personally I still think there is a decent player in there in Phillips, he’s been incredibly unlucky ever since he received the crap ball from Zouma within 3 minutes of debut. His plight has been highlighted by Moyes not allowing others to be signed as well as him. We were the only team to use the January transfer window to weaken ourselves. Now pass me that Humble Pie ….😉

10 May 2024 14:44:49
Humble Pie in the oven lol. I must admit I didn't like the idea of lopetegui however, I'm beginning to warm to him. With Flynn Downes and Freddie Potts returning from excellent loan spells plus outstanding Academy products added to the mix it promises to be a very different squad and playing style to the tired, dreary output we have seen in 2024 and i'm really encouraged by all the good things I'm hearing. Players we are being linked with moyes would never have dreamed of entertaining at west ham so it's good to hear and long may it continue

08 May 2024 06:20:05
From the rumours theer seems to be a new name every day. If they want to leave, let them leave, as long as we get a decent price for those we can sell. The rest can go. No loyalty in football anymore

Devon, all new Managers being their own entourage of yes men with them, hopefully those with strong connections to our club e.g. ex players will stay?
I have never seen much communication between Kevin Nolan and DM so I hope K.N. Stays?
I still hope DM gets a rousing reception come the final whistle on Saturday, I want him gone but that can’t detract from the job he’s done! He’s a very professional man that has conducted himself very well, but time for a new manager!
Like to see Paqueta go, a bloody liability and dirty player at times, also the very obvious so-called forwards that have been a complete waste that were DM signings if we can offload them?

It appears that Steidten and Loppy are already involved in planning , next season Loopy has around 8 targets in Spain, and 3 in Portugal, it's hard to discover at this stage, what's going on, but one of the players is Alex Buena , Villarreal, Steidten has English, German, targets, and we now have a scout/ rep in South America on a regular basis, it's going to be different, for sure Look at the difference with Palace, it's been remarkable! Same squad, two great players in Olise and Eze, but the rest are the same, Glasner is doing a great job there, they could be top 8 next year, Woy Hodgson was there for ages, and nothing changed, now look, WH, with our clout can do much better, Moyes like Fat Sam, where good at getting us out of trouble, that's fair enough, and we won the Conf cup, that is their limit reached, we must go forward . originally I wasn't in favour of Loppy, but looking at Palace who knows?

Billy, wether by accident or design you are correct!, I have just been told, that intent is to keep 5/7 players as a nucleus, they are as you state Areola Alvarez Kudus Bowen Emerson, two probable stays are JWP and Mavrapanos, . Johnson has had his final offer, so he's in the balance , if he accepts he will, stay as player no 8 if not he leaves :: three players Antonio, Fabianski, and coufal, have stated they have signed one year extensions, if so they will stay As part of squad. no free transfers for them, Mubama, Ogbonna cresswell, can leave , Ings cornet, Soucek Paqueta, can be sold if possible, , WH hope to raise £110 m , you can see that, 4/5 m for Cornet and £105m between Paqueta and Soucek, yes possible, WH have a big spend coming up, At least 90 m will be available, in addition to that, On Ings we will have to let him go on a free, or very little, nobody will rush to take him on £125 k a week SO TIM, you stated WH was a five year plan to make top six, away you go, we areNOT stuck for funds, no nonsense excuses from the board, Sloppy Loppy has intense knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese players, there's going to be some suprise signings, coming up, we need many players, let's GO

Believable0 Unbelievable0

06 May 2024 18:09:25
Hey Joyful, thanks for the insight. I think we can all agree this clear out has been well overdue. We have players that are either past their best or not up to the grade and it will be nice to see if lopetegui is ruthless and cuts them. He has always had midfielders who are gifted play makers and comfortable on the ball so Soucek is a gonner. Paqueta will go city. Antonio, Cresswell, ogbonna and zouma will go. Clearly he will keep bowen and kudus and build around them

Agree0 Disagree0

07 May 2024 13:49:32
Lop tried to sign Antonio so I doubt he'll be going, Club offered Cresswell and Ogbonna new contacts,

Zouma if we get a good offer from Saudi will be gone.

Aguerd has wanted out for a while, I think a large amount of that was down to Moyes, he'd certainly suits lops possession based football more than Moyes low block.

As much as a big rebuild is needed do think its important to keep some of those older heads that know the club well.

The youngish CB from Hull Jacob Greaves could turn out a very good signing if we get him

As much as the phrase has been overused "west ham may need to be careful what they wish for" That's not to say getting rid of Moyes is the wrong thing to do, his position is completely untenable, but it's the fact that it is now in David Sullivan's hands as to who replaces him and this worrying!

While Sullivan has never been the most popular figure amongst fans, the protests against him and his fellow owners had stopped completely over the past few years, but he now risks going back to those dark days.

It is well known that Tim Steidten, Mark Noble, some of the people at the top and the majority of fans that the first choice is Ruben Amorim but they'd be happy with bringing anyone in that shows a bit of ambition. Unfortunately, according to reports, its not an ambitious manager that the club will be going for, but an unemployed one whose potential signing for the Hammers would allegedly benefit a certain Will Salthouse.

Any West Ham fan will roll their eyes at the name Salthouse - he is an agent who has been responsible in bringing many mediocre players to the club due to being close allies with Sullivan. AND Now, he is said to be pushing for his friend to appoint Julen Lopetegui, someone that would be a very unpopular replacement for Moyes.

If this is the case, then it is absolutely scandalous that Sullivan would POSSIBLY make the most important managerial appointment in the club's history to save himself money as well as to make Salthouse some. This isn't something fans should tolerate and that's probably why over 1000 people have already signed a petition against the Spaniard already. With this news though, things could soon get really ugly for Sullivan and, if it turns out to be true, rightfully so. Its the fans that should have their say and Sullivan should listen, but he wont.

Its pretty clear to all of us that wevare a busted flush under David Moyes. A very fortunate first half of the season has been brought hone to us with a BANG in this second half of the season (lets remember some fans out there saw this coming) . His tactics don’t belong at the top level anymore.

But, he deserved a better send off from the players than they have given him of late.

We’ve all been on a wonderful journey with Moyes over the last few years.

However, there is so much wrong with this brittle, shallow West Ham squad it is frightening! what's more alarming is that the owners allowed it to get this bad and did nothing!

Agree1 Disagree0

05 May 2024 16:41:37
If Sullivan appoints Lopetegui I'm finished with this until Sullivan is gone. Sick of the club I've loved and followed for nearly 60 years being run by a man that cares little for the future of the club and just wants to appoint the bargain available

Watched the game and it was embarrassing, can’t say much more, scoreline says it all! The shame is we can be good when we attack, the defence is non existent, it was a practice match for Chelsea!
Defeat is acceptable but not at the score levels we have been defeated by too many times, 4/5/6, that’s Schoolboy Football defeat levels!
But hopefully it will get overhauled in the close season? 🤞🤞🤞⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒

MOYES has pleaded with the players to take blame for today. Moyes was asked how to explain why we've had so many heavy defeats this season: he said "Declan Rice. When you’ve got the best midfield player in the country protecting, probably limiting 50 per cent of their attacks it makes you much a better defensive team."! Then why didn't he replace him!

Agree1 Disagree0

05 May 2024 20:34:28
I was told lopetegui. Was a smokescreen how wrong it was . Anyway Moyes comments about rice were a proper kick in the nuts for edson Alvarez. Genuinely one of the few players that can hold his head up high this season. Terrible man management. Plus The two bob dwarf shyster needs both barrels aimed at him next week .
