Any truth in the rumours about Jayden Oosterwolde, the 24 yr old Dutch defender for Fenerbahce? I've seen his name mentioned in a couple of places. He cost the Turkish side £5 million a couple of years ago, but he's had trouble with his ACL in his knee. Looks like a real beast.

WH went for him last season, but it never came off, leaders on this are .Newcastle
The attraction, again is he can play all across the back, and he would not be expensive
Down side is as you say, no good buying injuries
Would he pass a genuine medical
That’s the issue , I always think back to Zouma, who passed our medical ( he didn’t ) , played well for a while, then his career collapsed
Once bitten twice shy?

2.) 05 Jan 2026 18:02:06
Thanks mate. He looks the real deal — just what we need right now. However, his injury record is worrying.

3.) 05 Jan 2026 21:25:49
Apparently there are quite a few CBs we are looking at, Cresswell being the name that keeps getting pushed personally i think the others we are looking at are better options, Cresswell is good in the air but his ability on the ball is apparently questionable, do we really need another clumsy CB? If he already struggles in possession in ligue 1 how bad will it be in the prem?

4.) 06 Jan 2026 09:04:36
You are right Al, many CBS are being looked at, the one really wanted is Gabriel, from Lecce, he tops the list
Personally don’t see it, bigger clubs, with deeper pockets are on it, and with our current situation, unfortunately just don’t see it

Lots of rumours circulating that Brady is on her dancers before the New Year. If true, Sullivan may be hoping that her departure will satisfy the protests. NO!

Tin Legs

1.) 11 Nov 2025 05:50:24
It would be a start but would be typical of Sullivan throwing someone under the bus. In the world of KB everything must be done to show her in a good light. So if she does move on I doubt it would be the sack. Also I just read on another site that she was responsible for organising the take over of Birmingham by Carson Yeung. How on earth can she say she did due diligence there.

2.) 11 Nov 2025 06:21:56
Pick em off one at a time if necessary. Sullivan loves being in the news, normally because of bad decisions, lies and BS. Now let's how he likes being in the news for the right reasons

Joyfull,
Any rumblings of a board meeting? Surely, by now, something must be happening to discuss Potter and/or the fan protest. Nothing will happen without there first being a meeting of our shambles of a board.

Tin Legs

1.) 21 Sep 2025 15:11:14
Unbelievable rumour that the board agree Potter has to go, but they don’t want the new manager to have the difficult away games against Everton and Arsenal as his first matches! What sort of circus act is this, if true?

2.) 21 Sep 2025 15:40:09
Omnishambles

3.) 21 Sep 2025 18:20:41
It’s madness. So let’s keep the crap guy as the new man might not win either of these first 2 games. We need the new man to have an easy one Brentford at home! We will be cut adrift by then

4.) 21 Sep 2025 20:45:07
Brentford at "home" is going to be just as tough as Everton. Especially when we lose our next two games and are sitting pretty at the bottom of the league.

06 Sep 2025 21:13:18
Rumours abound concerning Potter being replaced by Frank Lampard. Apparently he's happy at Coventry and it would have to be an extremely attractive package to tempt him to the London Stadium. Will we ever learn, if true? He failed at Chelsea and Everton, but he'll sprinkle some magic dust over his head if he comes to WHU.

This was reported on Football Insider whicH I personally think is awful headlines to make you click onlh to find it either old rumours usually a year old or justvrinbish

2.) 07 Sep 2025 13:42:01
I heard it from several sources. I certainly hope it’s bollocks.

3.) 09 Sep 2025 03:04:20
Who are your sources?

4.) 09 Sep 2025 10:51:06
Much the same as most with a couple of exceptions who I will keep to myself.

31 Aug 2025 07:51:37
As we enter the last hours of the transfer market, I have lost count of the number of rumours of players we have been linked to. To summarise, which current rumours have legs?

Tin Legs

1.) 31 Aug 2025 09:09:10
Hey Tin, it seems Paqueta and Aguerd have made up there minds they don't want to be here (so for me, let them go) . Sullivan (who i don't believe for one minute) says "basically, Paqueta not leaving unless we get an offer we can't refuse" which i think is another mistake by him

Looks like we have real Interest in Charlie Cresswell, Fabio Viera, Quentin Timber and bid for Franculino Dju, numerous other rumours flying around about Conor Gallagher, aleix garcia, harwood-bellis.

Id really like to see us getting rid of Rodriguez, Aguerd, Jwp, Cornet but with 2 days left can't see it.

However, this is West Ham so whatever happens is a best guess?

Could be a busy last 2 days or maybe not?

2.) 31 Aug 2025 11:43:22
It seems Paqueta has not refused to play against Forest.

Brooking, what say you now about Michael Carrick? It's still only two games into his Man Utd tenure, but so far they've beaten Man City and now Arsenal (the Prem favourites) at the Emirates. Not bad for a coach who you good as said wasn't good enough for Middlesbrough!

Tin Legs

1.) 28 Jan 2026 06:46:47
I stand by my word. He did not do good enough at Middlebro. Furthermore, it’s only 2 games.? Even you must realise the new manager bounce, and Arsenal should’ve won that game comfortably. Ask me after 8-10 games and you will be able to give a better perspective.
5 people on this site have agreed with you, along with yourself, so you have many followers.

24 Jan 2026 12:10:30
Arrrgh! The Invisible Man's name has crept on to the subs' bench today. Why? And why isn't Mendes' pocket man starting Wilson, by far our best striker? The mind boggles.

Tin Legs

1.) 24 Jan 2026 13:18:57
They seem to be doing okay without him

2.) 24 Jan 2026 13:19:42
Wow, where did this come from. The boys are flying. The team looks balanced, controlled and lots of pace all over the pitch. Coyi

3.) 24 Jan 2026 13:21:16
HT and 3-0! A superb goal by Summerville, and a class act from Fernandes. Wow!

4.) 24 Jan 2026 13:30:43
Irving, rodriguez and potentially paqueta going, we need to go get the best midfielder we can.

I would have rather Orford and Earthy if he wasnt on loan than JWP on the bench, former played last night though and is far too good for u21 football.

Wilson unfortunately can't get through as much work at the same intensity as Pablo and Taty, those two don't give the defenders a moments rest, Wilson will capatalise coming on last 20-30

5.) 24 Jan 2026 13:52:34
I must say, Taty works hard with little result so far, but Pablo looks like a total waste of money. Let’s hope he improves, but he could be a complete dud. Why he’s preferred to Wilson I can’t fathom, apart from the fact he’s a Mendes/Nuno client.

6.) 24 Jan 2026 14:23:15
Even Stevie Wonder can clearly see that Wilson is a better player than either Pablo or Taty. The latter works hard, but cannot finish and Pablo looks increasingly like a shirt carrier. Judging by Nuno’s changes, it looks like he’s bottled it again. Fernandes by far the MotM.

7.) 24 Jan 2026 14:30:47
Think its harsh on Pablo, we over paid but just turned 21, works hard involved in goals against QPR and tottenham he's a nuisance and gives others a higher chance of winning knockdowns.

8.) 24 Jan 2026 14:52:53
I would agree regarding Pablo being a hard worker but he lacks any real class and seems as shocked as many of us are that he is playing in the premier league. But good that he harries the defenders. Hopefully tire them out so if and when Wilson comes on he gets easier chances

9.) 24 Jan 2026 15:44:49
I concede it’s early days, but we’ve got better young players. I’ve seen nothing about him being a Prem player yet — not even early signs.

10.) 24 Jan 2026 16:14:03
Pablo gets a foot in at least. I don't quite get it but there's a bit of Rice's "octopus legs" fr 2022-23 about him as he always seems to disrupt the opponent.but he looks winded most of the time. Needs a pre-season for sure.

Fernandes MOTM.
Wow very impressed.

If this Nnadi comes in I can see Fernandes being freed even more as a playmaker. I have no idea if Nnadi is any good tbh. I'd prefer Cresswell in at the back as we leak goals still

Great win.
Bossed Sunderland off the park 1st half

11.) 25 Jan 2026 09:13:18
I'd like to see Pablo and Taty fully fit and with a premier league season behind them. Its a hard league to get used to because of the pace and quality.

Give these guys chance

17 Jan 2026 14:13:41
I've been watching the Manchester derby. United are a different team under Carrick. Now that's the sort of coach we've been crying out for.

Tin Legs

1.) 17 Jan 2026 15:09:32
Its funny how the media always focussed on Amorim's formation but it was the same formation today, they just closed down quicker and moved it quicker.

2.) 17 Jan 2026 15:13:21
It’s one game as Man Utd Gaffa! Middlebro improved when he left ?

3.) 17 Jan 2026 15:57:18
One result is hardly definitive. I’m still not convinced Carrick is any good. But I’m also shocked we are leading and listening on 5 live sound good value

4.) 17 Jan 2026 16:35:55
I agree. I’m not suggesting we should hire Carrick based on one result, and ‘rolling eyes’ from someone who supported Potter and recently wanted the invisible man (JWP) back in the side is simply laughable.

I’m saying we need a coach who can get our current players playing like they would spill blood for the club — just like Carrick has for Man Utd.
And Spurs have just equalised!

12 Jan 2026 18:34:04
I see Xabi Alonso has left Real Madrid by mutual consent. What are the odds he might be a slot in for the Man Utd job? I wonder.

Tin Legs

1.) 13 Jan 2026 12:16:30
With Michael Carrick waiting to be named as Man Utd interim manager, I can’t help feeling we’ve missed the boat yet again in favour of keeping another donkey.

11 Jan 2026 14:19:29
OMG! That line up is appalling. I hope I'm wrong, but this idiot has set us up as if QPR were Man City.

Tin Legs

1.) 11 Jan 2026 15:16:03
Now looking a bit more positive with Pablo replacing Mavropanos, but I hope Dino is ok.

2.) 11 Jan 2026 15:51:38
We look so much better since the injury and enforced change. This highlights what a poor selection which Nuno made to start the game. The sooner he is yesterday’s news the better for us. Our players can play, but we need a different coach.

3.) 11 Jan 2026 16:20:58
QPR captain Dunne looks a proper defender! We should be all over him ….

4.) 11 Jan 2026 16:33:37
A world class team in a world class stadium

Brooking, enough! You clearly misunderstand the meaning and use of irony. Your original post was not ironic. You merely pointed out that if the circumstances to which you refer were to come to fruition, they would RESULT in irony. Your phraseology employed was not ironic.

I was simply stating an opinion based upon previous comments voiced by other contributors. It was not argumentative; just simply at odds with your opinion. If anything, you introduced an element of confrontation with your follow-up post.
