I've just returned from watching my grandson play for the academy. I was chatting to a coach and we touched on the JWP situation. He said everyone at the club thinks he's being treated poorly. The coach also showed me some statistics about his play (he's only played 5 games). 90% of his short passes are completed, 71% of his long passing is completed, 12 chances created, duels won 39%.
He said they match up to most. I know most don't rate him, whereas I think he is a footballer, not a headless chicken. Whether a person thinks a player is good/bad, if their statistics stack up, then surely they should be on the bench at least.

No, playing backwards passes you should have 100% completion. You're utterly misguided on so many things. If he wanted 1st team football he'd take a pay cut and move. Potter built his team around JWP and it was awful. As Elsa says "LET IT GO."

It’s not a case of let it go. The man should be on the subs bench ahead of players like Rodriguez.
Regarding ‘Let it Go’, I thought it an interesting piece of fact from someone in the know. Even for people like yourself who believe JWP should remain a non-entity.

I am actually thinking you may have shares in the JWP brand. You have a point in regards to him being completely frozen out with no way back by Nuno. But maybe there is some previous issue between them at Forest but as AOI says if he had any decency he would leave and take a pay cut to get first team football.
But on the subject of freezing people nobody was worse than Mr Nice Guy Graham Potter.? He fell out with Alvarez, Areola, which is why we ended up with the worlds shortest keeper, Kudus, Aguerd and a few more. Sadly I won’t shed a tear for someone sitting on his backside for £125 k per week

I don't need stats to tell me he is crap, he offers nothing

Look into the stats deeper, he rarely plays the ball forward and he rarely creates from open play its all set pieces. As well as his progession stats being bad his defensive stats are terrible.
Then watching him he doesn't even try take it on the half turn, plays it straight back to Kilman time and time again putting the team underpresser with his backward passing. Defensively he can't get close to players, they run past him likes he's not even there again putting pressure on the defence.
Rodriguez has achieved and played in better teams than jwp he's simply a better footballer just at the end of his career, if we need to see out a lead he's a better option than jwp.
I did read earlier that jwp called Nuno baldy at forest.
For me i'd much rather have seen earthy, kante, fearon, orford, ahead of jwp on the bench.

The information I shared was from a coach. I thought footballing people may find it interesting. No worries.

Ask yourself, if JWP is considered a ‘decent’ footballer by coaching staff in football, then why aren’t we inundated with offers for him?

Probably is, but his wages will hold all buyers back.

Fernandes, Potts, Magassa, Kante, Soucek, Earthy, Orford, Fearon, Irving, Rodriguez.
JWP earns more than any of these yet contributes less, even when he has played. They are all ahead of him in the pecking order while some have gone on loan to get minutes, he's sat around picking up a fortune, living off past glories.
There's no debate here, if he wants to play let his bank balance take a hit and accept a move. He doesn't get near the bench because we have plenty of better options.
If he really was disrespectful to Nuno when at Wolves, and clearly something went on there, then he's hardly the model player to have affecting the psychology around the 1st team.

If you're interested in the stats take a look on fbref.com
You can see a lot more indepth details of the type of passes he makes, if you look throughout his career you can see, he can't tackle, can't carry the ball, rarely passes the ball forward and 90% of his chance creation is from set pieces.
Basically he's good at set pieces, but the rest of his game is pretty limited.
