A friend has just rang me from Stamford Bridge and says Moyes did not get to the dug out for the first 10 minutes of the second half.interesting!

Hammer Man

1.) 05 May 2024 15:55:56
He may aswell not have bothered at all to be fair

2.) 05 May 2024 15:58:24
Liverpool 5-1 West Ham
Fulham 5-0 West Ham
Aston Villa 4-1 West Ham
West Ham 0-6 Arsenal
Crystal Palace 5-2 West Ham
Chelsea 5-0 West Ham

Disgraceful, embarrassing, pathetic by a manager who wants us to defend. 30 goals conceded in 6 games its relegation form next season unless things change drastically!

3.) 05 May 2024 16:01:29
Writing his resignation letter I hope

4.) 05 May 2024 16:16:03
As much as I don't want Lopetegui at least he's a defensive manager that can defend unlike Moyes.

5.) 05 May 2024 16:16:51
Its pretty clear to all of us that wevare a busted flush under David Moyes. A very fortunate first half of the season has been brought hone to us with a BANG in this second half of the season (lets remember some fans out there saw this coming) . His tactics don’t belong at the top level anymore.

But, he deserved a better send off from the players than they have given him of late.

We’ve all been on a wonderful journey with Moyes over the last few years.

However, there is so much wrong with this brittle, shallow West Ham squad it is frightening! what's more alarming is that the owners allowed it to get this bad and did nothing!

6.) 05 May 2024 16:41:37
If Sullivan appoints Lopetegui I'm finished with this until Sullivan is gone. Sick of the club I've loved and followed for nearly 60 years being run by a man that cares little for the future of the club and just wants to appoint the bargain available

7.) 05 May 2024 16:50:37
Watched the game and it was embarrassing, can’t say much more, scoreline says it all! The shame is we can be good when we attack, the defence is non existent, it was a practice match for Chelsea!
Defeat is acceptable but not at the score levels we have been defeated by too many times, 4/5/6, that’s Schoolboy Football defeat levels!
But hopefully it will get overhauled in the close season? ???⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒

8.) 05 May 2024 17:35:35
MOYES has pleaded with the players to take blame for today. Moyes was asked how to explain why we've had so many heavy defeats this season: he said "Declan Rice. When you’ve got the best midfield player in the country protecting, probably limiting 50 per cent of their attacks it makes you much a better defensive team."! Then why didn't he replace him!

9.) 05 May 2024 20:34:28
I was told lopetegui. Was a smokescreen how wrong it was . Anyway Moyes comments about rice were a proper kick in the nuts for edson Alvarez. Genuinely one of the few players that can hold his head up high this season. Terrible man management. Plus The two bob dwarf shyster needs both barrels aimed at him next week .

10.) 05 May 2024 22:00:35
TONY COTTEE has called for Sullivan and Co to clear out!

09 Aug 2023 10:03:01
Sky says deal for our biggest nightmare is agreed for Maguire and Paqueta. looks like he wants to go to City. West Ham say offer £85 million and he is yours. Long season ahead

Hammer Man

1.) 09 Aug 2023 11:11:27
Everton May be about to offer ONANA as part of a MAGUIRE Deal so watch this space. Ward Prowse on his way APPARENTLY which will take 3 weeks to complete. PAQUETA quite rightly wants the move to CITY but seemingly we want £85m which would get us FOFANA, GALLAGHER and Joel Pohjanpalo.

2.) 09 Aug 2023 20:02:09
If City want Paqueta, then £30M + Julian Alvarez should do it.

3.) 09 Aug 2023 21:26:15
He's buy out clause cannot be triggered until next summer at £85 million so we will have him for another season but we are a selling club and it will never end until SULLY is gone.

4.) 09 Aug 2023 22:58:26
Hope Everton hijack the deal. Only time when I'd be happy with someone stealing a transfer.

If city offered 80 for paqueta and we actually reinvested into Gallagher and fofana, wouldn't say that's bad business.

5.) 10 Aug 2023 07:55:14
Paqueta mentioned; the rumour is he'll now not travel to the dizzy heights of Bournemouth on Saturday.

23 Jan 2023 07:49:13
I saw the report came from a publication in France called Mercator Plein . As I say it stated that the deal was done.certainly hope it is true as he would be a good signing.

Hammer Man

1.) 23 Jan 2023 10:42:54
I think I’ll wait for the picture of him in our shirt…

2.) 23 Jan 2023 11:41:42
I went to the Lorient fans forum to see if I could get any info and this was the latest post (at time of reading):

"c'est un compte parodique sur un site non-journalistique. par contre certains journalistes ne méritent pas cette appelation"

Which roughly translated means:

"It is a parody account on a non-journalistic site. On the other hand, some journalists do not deserve this name."

So I'm in the 'I don't believe a for a moment we've signed Moffi' camp, at least until the news is broken from an unimpeachable source.

3.) 23 Jan 2023 13:43:11
Moyes has thanked the board for their backijng with the purchase of Danny Ings but he suggests their may not be any further business this window and the latest articles in tabloids shows that we, and spurs and everton are interested in Mauriccio Sarri as our next manager? Not sure about him?

4.) 23 Jan 2023 14:45:49
I, for one, would be delighted to turn our sorry state of affairs into a Sarri one.

5.) 23 Jan 2023 16:38:40
Lampard sacked by Everton

6.) 23 Jan 2023 17:16:46
OMG just read that INGS is injured and out for at least 2 games is this for real so all we've got is BAMBI on ice diving all over the place so we are in trouble now with being reliant on ANTONIO scoring goals for SM is little favourite needs to bang in a few goals when he hasn't looked like scoring lately do not believe for one minute that MOFFI has signed or close to signing as no medical is planned so you cannot sign a player without a medical mind you we are WEST HAM

7.) 23 Jan 2023 19:11:46
Maybe we need to find our own Paul Warhurst from the squad.

For those who remember him.

8.) 23 Jan 2023 22:18:57
I read that Moffi is not keen on a move to West Ham and would prefer Nice.

9.) 24 Jan 2023 07:53:25
MARSEILLE are now in the running for MOFFI. They are offering cash plus BAMBA DIENG (whoi we were once interested in). It seems Moyes wants a Striker and centre back before the window closes. Striker target could be anybody's guess but he best be robust because ours are dropping like flies. As for CB, Micheal Keane's name was mentioned

10.) 24 Jan 2023 12:44:19
Please don't let me walk near upstairs open windows. This is like an old Brian Rix farce. When will I wake up and realise it's all been a dream?

11.) 25 Jan 2023 15:44:20
We are apparently going to call VLASIC back from his loan spell at torino how true is this please Ed.

{Ed002's Note - Sorry I don’t know.}

12.) 27 Jan 2023 10:43:45
As far as I can make out, there's no recall facility available in the terms of Vlasic's loan deal, so I guess that rules that particular rumour out.

13.) 26 Jan 2023 23:45:38
No problem thanks Ed.

14.) 14 Feb 2023 12:48:44
Mercator should stick to making maps

15.) 15 Feb 2023 09:01:31
Mmpr Antonio is / was meant to be our Paul Warship

16.) 20 Feb 2023 08:06:01
Re French references - the phrase "plus ca change" cones to mind ; which I believe means roughly "the more things change the more they remail the same".

22 Jan 2023 13:49:36
Report this lunch time coming out of France says that West Ham have today signed Moffi for £21M . Apparently it is a done deal.

Hammer Man

1.) 22 Jan 2023 15:03:49
I’ll believe it once I’ve seen him in the shirt.

2.) 22 Jan 2023 15:16:22
The guy is an absolute beast. Let's hope it's correct.

3.) 23 Jan 2023 00:46:50
Did you read that on NEWSNOW hammer man as they are just an aggregator as Ed has said many times before and they collect related items of storys and displays them as correct transfer news, and I've only seen 1 player sign who they've linked west ham to, so if so don't take it as a done deal like they are reporting, hope your right fella as anybody is better than ANTONIO who imo is shockingly bad and the quicker we get shot of him the better.⚒⚒⚒.

4.) 23 Jan 2023 22:21:48
Sadly, Antonio is going nowhere. With Scamacca and now Ings injured, he's once more the Moyes answer to scoring goals. Don't hold your breath.

5.) 30 Jan 2023 05:43:15
So once again we are left with 1 fit striker who cannot score for toffee and is SM saviour again what a sorry state we are in we have no chance of winning any of our next 3 premier league games and will more than likely get stuffed by derby watch this space.⚒⚒⚒

15 Jan 2023 17:37:07
Apparently according to the sky sports tikka strap West Ham have made a confirmed bid of £25 million for Moffi.

Hammer Man

1.) 15 Jan 2023 19:05:02
So they can't sack the incompetent manager but we can submit bids fir players? What a joke

2.) 16 Jan 2023 05:36:27
Grand Moff tarkin could do better than the Shetland somnambulist as played by Peter Cushing rip

3.) 16 Jan 2023 11:33:58
Not sure why he would come to us.

Dithering Dave has completely messed us up not taking advantage in previous windows when we were actually in a decent position.

Remember seeing us linked to Julian Alvarez a while back and thought he looked quality wasn't sure if we were actually interested but Moyes just confirmed he turned the chance to sign him down.

Hlozek hasn't been doing to badly either a player many on this site wanted us to move for and Kretinsky could have easily made it happen.

4.) 16 Jan 2023 14:01:42
MOYES judgement said that ALVAREZ wasn't going to be a success in the premier league so our interest was not followed up, how wrong was MOYES This is a damning assessment of a MANAGER who has lost touch with player recruitment. I very much doubt if Paqueta, Cornet or SCAMACCA were his choices so I suspect Sullivan is still controlling things. Also (whether true or not) it seems that board want to wait until After Saturdays game against Everton to take any action because there will be a tribute to DAVID Gold (God Bless Him). Not quite sure why sacking MOYES has to wait until after Everton game or, iof we win will they change their minds? I suspect so. Whichever, if MOYES does go, it means that his replacement has to hit the ground running with games against Newcastle, Chelse and Tottenham?/

So it is now officially announced on the WHU website that DM will leave his position as manager at the end of the season.the club are now seeking a new manager for next season.

Hammer Man

21 Apr 2024 15:40:25
How can Moyes survive after being 4-0 down at Palace after 30 minutes.the players are now telling the board that he has to go.

Hammer Man

1.) 21 Apr 2024 16:02:20
Awful performance I'm afraid Paquetta is a luxury we can't afford. Total lack of midfield and Fabs indecisiveness.this is like Fulham, Brentford, Liverpool and Arsenal all over again. Moyes not strengthening the squad is really telling and with no one on the bench of any note he might as well give the youngsters a go

2.) 21 Apr 2024 17:04:25
Well that was embarrassing. Even with the Palace goalie wearing a West Ham shirt, we couldn’t win. It could have been 7 or 8. ‘Nuff said.

03 Mar 2024 12:38:13
That's 2 games won in a week. All because the team has started to play to its strengths. We have many very good attacking players. Now the question is are these DM tactics or have the team taken tactics into there own hands.all yours to debate.

Hammer Man

1.) 03 Mar 2024 13:13:28
Well it's plain for all to see it's not moyes. As has been said previously, if we had a manager who embraced this style of play and with a few key additions, what would we be capable of.?

2.) 03 Mar 2024 13:31:33
Hammer Man, don’t think we won it because we played attacking Football from the Radio Commentary of the whole match I listened too, or on the MOTD highlights! We surely have to attack some times in a game, certainly with our talented front men, also when Areola was our MOM, says it all!
As I said a win is a win especially away from home, Everton wasn’t going to lay down, they needed the points more than us, so surely even the most anti Moyes outers, me included, should give some credit to the team, rather than DM! So rather surprised at lack of creditable posts, it’s a bit liking watching us play at the L.S. and not cheering when we score??
COYI ⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒

3.) 03 Mar 2024 15:13:55
Oshee, well said and entirely agree mate, he’s never going to change his bloody boring defensive counter and hope type of play unfortunately! Can you imagine Guardiola, Klopp, Arteta, changing NO!
We’re all what we are Oshee and when it’s working for you, which fortunately for him it is, but entertaining wise for fans it’s not and but earning loads for the Board logically why would / should he? So we’re stuck with him for the near future, but there’s no guarantees with any Manager / Coach?
⚒⚒⚒⚒COYI

4.) 03 Mar 2024 15:56:28
Oshee . Everytime you post it seems you're desperate for us to lose . Just for us to be rid of Moyes .as much as I dislike Moyes and believe me I do . I realise the biggest issue is Sullivan. He's the root of all the issues at our Great club . No ambition whatsoever.

5.) 04 Mar 2024 19:07:34
Totally agree Hammer7580. Sullivan is more of an issue than moyes as its him who pulls the strings!

6.) 07 Mar 2024 21:58:11
Yeah but this performance tonight is all on Moyes. Rubbish game management against a team we should be strolling past easily.

1-0 isn't the end of the world but let's be honest, it's been a gruelling watch.

More worrying is the fact that he'll be flogging the same players again this weekend, expecting them to stay fit and be better even though his tactics will be identical as tonight's.

Hopefully Emerson's fit because Zouma and Cresswell is a disaster just waiting to happen.

7.) 21 Mar 2024 14:26:53
Paqueta bigging up "The Boss" in today's Sun newspaper. Which was always only good for wrapping one's chips up in.

03 Sep 2023 19:28:17
Well here we go again.another centre forward that Moyes can't get to score. Scamamacca made his first start for Atalanta last night. What happened, he scored 2 goals and had a 3rd disallowed by VAR in a 3-0 win.Again a forward who Moyes can't get to score leaves and starts banging them in for a new club. So how much did we lose on each player.well you do the math.

Hammer Man

1.) 03 Sep 2023 20:30:22
Who really care's? We are 4th and Scammacca is past tense.

2.) 03 Sep 2023 21:51:21
As a West Ham supporter you should care.yes great to see us get a good start to the season.but think of the money the club has lost over the bad judgement and mis use of forwards.must be close to £50 million over the last few years, that should make you care.

3.) 03 Sep 2023 23:27:25
I care as we let a top striker leave when we shouldn't have signed him if he isn't suited to MOYES tactics you buy players that you are going to use in there best position and whatever suits them up top on their own or in a 2 or 3 which SCAMACCA was never used in that system so that isn't his fault its MOYES

4.) 03 Sep 2023 23:39:34
Any suggestions on where KUDUS is going to fit in and who is going to be dropped for KUDUS as I can't see MOYES playing him and PAQUETA in the same team I think I know who's head is for the chopping block MOYES favourite player to be subbed BENNY but KUDUS isn't a winger I'd play a 3-5-1-1 with KUDUS in behind ANTONIO who I thought was dreadful against LUTON that's the 2 sides of him.⚒⚒⚒

5.) 04 Sep 2023 06:11:10
Agreed whorya48. We have to play both. I'm not sure how moyes will fit them in . No doubt will play one out of position. Not sure he's tactically good enough to figure it out. Benrhama will probably be dropped I guess.

6.) 04 Sep 2023 07:21:09
Problem here is, as you guys have suggested, MOYES buys players NOT for the position they are best playing in, but the best position he can slot them into. He buys centre forwards who are tall and rangey, whereas we need a strong, pacey forward that can hold the ball up allowing the midfiled to join. Antonio is not a Centre Forward and never has been. Neither is Bowen, he uses them as makeshift scorers. Danny Ings is too old and past his prime, but did we bother to buy a toung hungry striker. GIFT ORBAN would have been ideal, although expensive. Iheanacho would have been a good shout and cheap at £15 to £20m. There are plenty of strikers out there and we did NOTHING. Anyway, roll on Jan when the fun and games all starts again. 4th in the league which we have to be happy with and maybe, just maybe, if we can keep players healthy a shot at a domestic trophy?

7.) 04 Sep 2023 09:54:03
All good points in answer to Soccerschool’s question. Moyes believes he has the Midas touch with turning wingers into centre forwards since he had the luck of transforming Arnie into a lone striker. So far, his subsequent efforts have eluded him. His purchases of natural centre forwards hasn’t worked out either because he has an inability to adapt his defensive tactics. We are now facing at least 4 months of relying again on the fitness of an ageing winger converted into a centre forward, with a back up of a player who is clearly unsuited to the Moyes system, or another young option who is not trusted by the manager to fulfil the role.

8.) 05 Sep 2023 11:34:59
As far back as his Everton days, he played 4-5-1 and the wide players such as Leon Osman occasionally for into the box and scored. Also deployment of the Oz lad Cahill as AM cum striker. I am not saying this is necessarily good, just his MO.

9.) 05 Sep 2023 11:49:58
And everyone knows it!

10.) 07 Sep 2023 01:04:20
And nobody is arguing with you.lol

14 Aug 2023 14:57:41
Believe this or not, reports claim that Jessie Lingard is training with West Ham.with a view to a short contract, if he impresses it will be extended.do you think he would get a good reception at the London Stadium.

Hammer Man

1.) 14 Aug 2023 16:22:36
Oh absolutely rofl. One of moyes favourites. Squad member maybe but not an automatic selection

2.) 14 Aug 2023 17:28:31
Wouldn't surprise mw if he gets a short term contract, one of the reasons is we need more homegrown as Downes is on loan and if Cressie and Antonio go we are short of the eight required.

3.) 14 Aug 2023 18:10:28
Just seen this what are moyes and sullivan playing at he had his chance I never want to see him anywhere near our club again
Also josh Brownhil if this is the type of signing they'll looking to make they have no right to be near our club
We have a great chance to kick on by bring in the right players hungry young players
No disrespect to Brownhil but in my eyes his not want we need

4.) 14 Aug 2023 19:27:32
Sell Rice, Paqueta and a few others then convince anyone who'll listen that JWP is "world class".

Add a promising but unproven Alvarez to the squad, promise more "class signings" including an "unstoppable" striker whilst never quite managing to get said signings over the line, then sprinkle a bit of Josh Brownhill and Jesse Lingard in to the mix and THAT my friends is how you asset strip to the value of over £100M.

At least that's what I would be saying if I were in any way shape of form a cynical man.

5.) 14 Aug 2023 20:16:28
Thank heavens you’re not!

6.) 14 Aug 2023 20:21:42
Wilko is up for sale. Moyes and Sullivan must be interested because it’s going for a song and is an old company.

7.) 14 Aug 2023 21:10:33
I’ve got a bridge to sell them.

8.) 15 Aug 2023 20:08:29
Sulli and moyes do like a bargain.

9.) 16 Aug 2023 15:47:33
Yes but they ain't flogging dildos this time! They are more like Fools and Horses; wasn't the creator even called Sullivan?

Moyes has never liked Benrahma because he’s a flair player. Not his usual defensive runner who he sees as not giving his all. But he is not that sort of player he is lung busting forward who needs to give his all in the final third. Moyes this season has totally lost the plot as we all know……

I totally agree that we must do all we can to keep Rice. He is the new heart beat of the club now that Noble is in the process of retiring from playing. We have for to long produced top players to let the so called bigger clubs have all the benefit when they come into there prime. Now we are showing that we can challenge for a European spot at hopefully year on year it is essential to keep your best players to progress.

I also hope he stays. He and his staff have done a great job in the last year. If he listens to his head then he will stay, if he listens to his heart then that may be a different matter. He had 11years at Everton, has he still got a base on Merseyside, would his wife prefer to move back up north. It’s not just the football, but external factors must come into consideration. On our side there are some good managers looking for jobs.

Ambition is a great thing, but we must not fall into the trap that Burnley did this season and qualify for the second rate European competition. Look what a disaster for them and the many clubs that preceded them over the years. That competition is a poison chalice and we must steer clear of it. A Premier league season wrecker in my opinion.

So what can the problem be by not getting Rice on a long term contract. Its about time we were told the truth, or is it just our board being stubborn. It can't be that the club can't afford it as we are paying squad players drastically over the odds.

I totally agree with TinLegs. West Ham can always surprise you….when they should win they don’t, when they should not win they can….I hated the commentators doing Spurs v City. Totally ignoring West Ham and already giving City the championship, total disrespect for us. We can always surprise someone, probably won’t happen but I would really love us to at least get a point….having said that I would hate to see Arsenal win it.

Yes I totally agree that we have very important things to concentrate on before the end of the season. No point in talking about that at the moment due to the International break. However it is still interesting to look further ahead to get a feel for next season ( that I hope as you all do it will be Premier league football ).
