Not sure if this is common knowledge but just seen that Liverpool are considering moving in for Tim Steidten as their head of recruitment.

They've agreed a deal with XABI ALONSO tot ake over at the end of the season when KLOPP goes so guess who is next on the hit list especially as the DIRECTOR of FOOTBALL is also leaving? If our let lose him because of our sheer incompetence during transfer windows, then am done with these clowns

With all the upcoming transfer of players in and out shenanigans about to start. One set of positions that could see a complete overhaul is central defence. Angelo and Aguerd seem to be on their way the Greek fella will probably stay but nobody ever mentions Zouma. IMHO he has been dreadful this season and every time I have watched him over the last couple of seasons, when he starts to run or even walk it looks like his right knee is about to implode. Do people think Zouma will still be there in August?

Hammer-D, Zouma was crocked when we bought him! He looks dreadful when he moves around, just wish Areola wouldn’t roll the ball to him inside or outside the area with opposition breathing down his neck, but season over now fortunately so not much to gain and nothing to lose!
New Coach/ Manager must replace him along with as many others as the budget allows?

It’s one of the many issues with Moyes. For me it’s not all simply about the ultra defensive formation he sets up as, it’s stuff like bringing our youngsters through. As poor as we have been and with a small squad he has hardly ever given any of the youngsters a chance. Probably fearing they make a mistake. Well sadly that’s the only way you learn. And even if that were the case so many of the established team have made mistakes or played poorly…….
If I was a youngster at West Ham with Moyes in charge I would be straight out of there, no question. To quote Jonny Rotten, ‘ Nooo Future, Nooo future………

Regarding Borja I agree with Billy. I think he is totally overrated. The other week Chelsea scored 5 or 6 goals in one match. He was playing as centre forward from the start of the match, and didn’t score one or even an assist.
I think he would also be a total Moyes type player and one small hope is that we didn’t go for him because hopefully at the end of the season we may be a Moyes-less zone ?

Spot on Whorya.
Now that we are buying a lot of new players I am bemused that people are quick to want to get rid of players, who generally did pretty well last year but have started this year poorly. Getting rid of these players would leave us with a small and poor squad. The big issue is we need a good size and quality bench. If we were just going to react to this season so far then Bowen would be first out the door as he has been poor.

I’m pretty sure city will wipe the floor with us like they have done for the last few years. DMs record against the big boys is horrendous and especially against Citeh. But I have often been wrong ?

Not sure your argument stacks up. Villa are not favourites because they got tonked at home by a team we beat at home and finished above in the mini league last season. The other semi finalists are Bruges are Fiorentina. Not bad sides, not world beaters. I think this tournament is the equivalent of the old cup winners cup, which we never denigrate and rightly so….

I think you are right Chelmsford. I have spent the last few weeks venting my spleen about his impending appointment to my mates. A s from what I have heard he is not what we want but have to give the guy a chance, he might surprise us and can’t be worse than what we have. Hope for a major turnover of players especially the defence and maybe get an actual forward. Ever the optimist ?
