I said this was err not true it's about 42, add up the purchases payet, obiang, ogbonna, loan fees Jimenez, Lanzini, jenkinson, allow for nolans payoff, then add fees and outgoings, less downings fee received, we are around 30m. Yes we have four, but SB not happy with either Collins or Tomkins, and wh definetly looking, at this position, wh are not over a barrel on this position, but it WILL be addressed for sure, if not this window it will be nailed on for attention next summer, IRONMIKE

When the DGS said 25, they kept it low for commercial reasons (sensible), they likely also thought they would cash in the unshiftables, finally, they didn't/don't know if they are going to loan or buy some players (Song, Jenkinson for example), or that a key player Valencia would have a dramatic injury so early.

Nobody can predict what's the budget, even DGS, until the contract is signed. Its just guesses at this time. If we get a top centre forward at 12m, and maybe 2 of them, that is taking us up to 54m (30+12+12) already and that is before the other positions you've mentioned, plus some say we need +1 goalkeeper, so the number is only going up!

We also have Burke Oxford and Henry to get ready for this position . surely another cb is not needed unless 1 is going out
