Mike you mentioned Gignac was moving toward Russia or something, he has turned down the contract and we are back in the running.

Hi dave, well yes we are, but gignac has many suitors , and he like many others is acting in a mercenary fashion he wants to go to absolutely the highest bidder for his services , obviously teams like zenit and dinamo pay huge wages and bonuses to attract players to perform sometimes in very harsh conditions , eg valbuena was courted by west ham, looked likely then off he went to Russia, andI it has been said he recieved avery large signing on fee that wh couldn't match, gignac is performing in the same kind of fashion, if everybody was offering the same money, his managment team would persuade him probably to west ham. But wh just cannot match, the kind of payments he has spoken about, therefore in my view, not very likely, he like ayew, and konoplyanka, change their minds it seems daily, that's the problem with free agents,! Now wh have both emery and bilic coming in on Thursday and Friday, looks like developing into two horse race, and yes emery has had massive support today betting wise, but bilic still the favourite, personally I would go for emery every time,,but bear in mind apart from yes no and thanks speaks little english, but I would be happy with bilic, both of these managers would oversee, big changes in time to come IRONMIKE

Why is everyone so keen to get emery, he's managed once outside of Spain in the past (spartak in Russia) and was sacked because he was awful! Now Bielsa isn't an option its got to be Bilic for me! He speaks English is a great motivator and has got the best out of his players wherever he's been. I think Emery would be a much bigger risk than Bilic

Spartak Moscow they finished 9th, the clubs worst ever finish in their history - He was then sacked.

Besiktas - He failed to qualify for the Champions League the entire time he was there.

It was Lokomotiv Moscow for starters and they had one of the worse sides they've had in years as well, he well over performed in the league with besiktas and if it wasn't for the fact they went so far in the Europa league they'd of probably won it as well! I'm not saying emery isn't a good manager 2 Europa league titles show he knows what he's doing but the fact he can't speak English is going to make it difficult for him. Plus you've got to look at the players he's had in the sides he's done well with, Sevilla and Valencia had players that were by far better than anything he's going to have with us!
